REPORTS TO:

Authorities / Responsibilities
- Assist in research and update of Configuration Status Accounting (CSA)
- Assist in review and update of Allowance Equipment List (AEL) Baseline
- Interface with ILS team concerning HM&E Provisioning Technical Documentation (PTD) as it relates to CSA
- Interface with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMS) and Suppliers to obtain Vender Furnished Information
- Interface with In Service Engineering Agents (ISEAs), Material Item Managers and SUPSHIP/Navy as needed
- Interface with Teaming partners /Suppliers concerning selected systems equipment’s configuration support
- Participate in Engineering Change Management meetings documenting
- CSA impacts and providing Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates
- Perform Sight Validation of product configuration
- Successful applicant must be willing to cross-train to other areas within ILS as Necessary
General
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with 1 year of experience or 2-5 years of CSA experience on Navy, MSC or USCG Contracts in lieu of degree.
- Demonstrated experience in Database development; Configuration Data Managers Database-Open Architecture (CDMD-OA) or Merlin preferred
- Knowledge of Allowance Equipage List (AEL) and Allowance Parts List (APL)
- Basic knowledge of ILS processes and technical areas
- Knowledge of System Breakdowns and Hierarchical Structure Code (HSC) usage
- Working knowledge of New Construction Processes including Coordinated Shipboard Allowance List (COSAL)
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Programs
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- High School diploma or equivalent required. Related degrees advantageous
- Prior U.S. Navy, MSC or USCG experience desired, but not required

- Will determine the technical adequacy of all CSA deliverables
- Will provide CSA input to all members of the ILS Team
Additional Guidelines
- The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance may be required if deemed necessary in the scope of your position responsibilities.

- Must have the ability to bend, squat, stoop, crawl, and kneel.
- Perform prolonged standing (2-3 hour intervals).
- Ability to turn head from side to side and about the vertical axis.
- Ability to turn body at the waist from side to side and about the vertical axis.
- Lift/push/pull 50lbs to 75lbs on an occasional basis (0-33% of the day).
- Lift/push/pull up to 20lbs on a frequent basis (34-66% of the day).
- Must have the ability to climb in a safe manner (climbing includes stairs, scaffolding, ladders, and ramps) .
- Demonstrate the ability to safely and appropriately use required tools and equipment (includes documentation, laptops, binders, etc.).
- Ability to work at heights above 12’ while working from ladders, scaffolding and/or man lifts.
- Able to work at a variety of levels (ex. waist, eye, overhead).
- Demonstrate good balance while working on uneven surfaces and maneuvering obstacles.
- Possess sufficient handgrip and coordination to carry and operate tools and equipment.
- Ability to utilize personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, steel toe shoes, goggles, respirator, safety harness, safety line, flotation gear, etc.) safely per OSHA standards.
- Ability to withstand cold and hot temperatures.
- Ability to enter 18” x 36” openings and work in confined spaces for prolonged periods of time (up to 95% of the day).
- Able to respond to verbal and audible sounds/commands.
- Able to utilize adequate visual skills.
- Ability to fully extend the arm while reaching overhead, reaching out, reaching to the side and reaching down.
- Ability to perceive attributes of an object/material such as size, shape, temperature and texture by means of receptors in the hands and fingers.
- Ability to read and record information in challenging conditions i.e. transposed numbers due to use of mirror to access equipment, dim lighting, small spaces, fine print.
- Required use flashlight, mirror and magnifying glass on occasion to read and record data.
