Established in 1969, Austin ENT Clinic is one of the nation's leading Ear, Nose, and Throat clinics. Our physicians specialize in otolaryngologic care for pediatric and adult patients at locations across the greater Austin area. Our practice features state-of-the-art care for ear, nose, and throat problems, hearing loss, environmental allergies, sinus, and head and neck surgery. We offer a variety of highly specialized procedures that utilize the latest medical technology.
This is a full-time position paid on an hourly basis. The applicant must have at least two years of clinical experience in a physician's office. In addition; EMR experience, strong written and verbal communication, flexibility, and willingness to cross-train in various capacities. The ideal candidate will be professional, enthusiastic and have an exceptional aptitude for detail. We are seeking a team player able to execute the following responsibilities, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient care, including taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and preparing patients for examinations
- Administer injections as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as strep and/or flu screening
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies -knowledge of instrument sterilization
- Schedule patient appointments and manage medical records
- Provide medical administrative support, sending orders, e-scripts, etc.
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a medical setting is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and coding
- Experience in assisting with minor in-office procedures
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Strong attention to detail to accurately record patient information and perform tasks
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient computer skills for managing electronic medical records and scheduling appointments
