What You’ll Do
The Manager, Sponsorship Sales would support the Director on developing strategic (internal and external) sponsorship sales to generate and drive revenue for Authentic partners and global events and experiences. You'll be selling experiences, building prospect lists, writing outlines for proposals/decks. You'll have dedicated categories to focus on to offer and pitch. You'll ensure guests to our events/experiences have a memorable/social experience with our partners.
What you’ll be working on
- Work daily in an exciting and growing events and experiences landscape that spans sports, fashion, culture, lifestyle, entertainment and music.
- Building prospect lists, writing outlines for proposals/decks
- Support our global sponsorship sales outreach and negotiation, including identifying and qualifying leads.
- Preparing the proposal and making presentations in collaboration with the Sales Specialist, Creative Director and Marketing leads Creating, reviewing, editing, and negotiating partnership contracts in collaboration with the Legal department.
- Identify and create fully integrated partnerships with global organizations and brands consisting of onsite activations, digital and social campaigns, VIP hospitality, entitlement and presenting partnership positions and more.
- Maintains sales forecasts and budgets.
- Assist in setting annual sponsorship targets and go-to-market plans, which could include asset development, pricing, tiering, packaging, etc.
- Liaise with Event Operations leads across featured properties to align on internal and external go-to-market strategies.
- Consistently identify target brands and generate face-to-face / virtual meetings to establish new client relationships.
- Support and work closely with Senior Management and Event Directors to ensure commercial partnerships are in keeping with the event content.
- Maximize all potential revenue to achieve/exceed event targets.
- Maintain a good knowledge of competitor events and relevant sponsorships.
Must Haves
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of sales entertainment, special event, advertising experience & sports sponsorships.
- Must be very knowledgeable in the practices and principles related to the sale, negotiation, and execution of contractual partnership process.
- Builds and maintains strong internal and external professional relationships.
- Ability to influence across teams to achieve goals required.
- Strong knowledge of the sponsorship sales, marketing and corporate community strategies including industry trends, key players and terminology, with the ability to craft integrated marketing plans and solutions.
- Self-starter with proven ability to research and identify prospective sponsors, partners and new business opportunities across targeted categories in a competitive landscape.
- Well-versed and experienced in ad sales, prospecting, pursuing, and developing new sponsorship partnerships.
- Passion for destination entertainment, retail, dining, events and experiential marketing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including creation of convincing and strategic sales approaches, proposals, documentations and presentations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint; easily adapts to digital team/project management software and systems. InDesign a plus, but not required.
- Travel as needed based on the needs of the business.
Primary Location Salary Range:
$85,000 - $100,000
