The Credentialing Specialist supports the Operations of the company by performing activities involved in credentialing and insurance management. This position works closely with HR, the Managed Care & Billing and, as needed, interfaces with other staff members of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Process BCBA credentialing with insurance companies
• Review applications
• Prepares verification letters
• Maintains CAQH database
• Contacts medical office staff, licensing agencies, and insurance carriers to complete credentialing and recredentialing applications
• Maintain communication and rapport with insurance personnel
• Keep current in industry news and change
• Other duties as assigned (e.g., quarterly reporting)

• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a professional and confidential capacity
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Results oriented with ability to act with sense of urgency to meet client and Operations needs
