Materials Handling Clerk

Job Description Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Materials Handler. This job handles all phases of the handling of materials in the warehouse. This is done under general supervision. Essential Functions: Strong understanding of warehouse practices and procedures Driving trucks and shuttles as needed. This requires a medical card and chauffeurs license. If not licensed, a willingness to get this is critical. Good driving record required. Perform assigned jobs efficiently. Regular and consistent attendance in meeting a defined work schedule. Occasionally required to lift or move up to 75 pounds Good ability/experience with hand tools. Willingness to work occasional overtime. Other Functions: Assist with other duties as assigned within the department or elsewhere on request. May be required to safely operate multiple types of materials handling equipment. Work with CAD drawings. Will need to know the proper SAP procedures needed to perform departmental tasks. Desired Skills and Experience Ability to communicate in a positive manner with branches, agents, and departments. Ability to understand and carry out written or verbal instructions. Basic computer knowledge may be required. A chauffeur’s license and a satisfactory driving record may be required. Ability to maintain a professional image.
