Position Overview
The Service Detail Manager is responsible for work allocation, supervision and training of a team of Detail Technicians, Porters , PDR Technicians and Detail Leads to assureensure efficient and productive team performance.
What are the day-to-day responsibilities?
- Schedule and assign daily work objectives for the Detail Leads
- Monitor performance and counsel associates with behavioral or performance issues
- Train, coach, supervise and assist the service Detail Technicians, Porters, and PDR Technicians
- Maintain a safe and efficient shop area that is free of hazards
- Maintain an objective assessment of each associates training, skills and abilities
- With the assistance of the Detail Lead, chart the performance of each service detail technician
- Coordinate ongoing training for all the associates and maintain a log of the completed training and certifications received
- Maintain a schedule of associate absences for training, vacation or personal reasons to assure proper staffing to meet work demands
- Conduct team meetings with the service associates to assess prior day performance and review work assignments for the day
What are the requirements for this job?
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have a valid driver's license Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Two or more years of Management experience (preferred)
