Proper Hospitality is seeking an experienced Director of Finance to oversee all accounting and financial requirements for two staple properties within our portfolio: Avalon Palm Springs and Ingleside Inn.
The Director of Finance is responsible for providing financial support, advice and expertise to the General Manager and hotel team, with the goal of maximizing profit and safeguarding hotel assets. Additional key responsibilities for this role include managing the accounting records and financial reports, providing effective controls, developing best practices for financial accounting and control procedures, and supporting, advising and developing the finance department for the properties. The Director of Finance reports directly to both the General Manager and the Vice President of Finance.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field required
Experience: Minimum 10 years of Hotel or Resort Management Finance experience required. Previous Controller or Director of Finance experience also required.
