Kitchen Staff/Dietary Aide
Setting: Skilled Nursing
Type: Part-time and full-time, day and evening shift

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up, deliver and serve food as directed.
- Serve meals that are palatable, appetizing in appearance and in accordance with established portion control procedures, on a timely basis.
- Prepare kitchen, food and supplies for the next meal.
- Return clean utensils to proper storage areas and maintain a clean, dry work environment free of hazardous conditions or equipment.
- Assist in daily cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dishwashing, etc.
- Preparing drink carts, setting up snacks for meals etc.
- Wash dishes and trays after meals.
- Assist Cook during mealtime by ensuring trays have accurate meals, utensils, and beverages on them.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Dietary aide or food handling experience preferred, but not required.
- Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and a calm and cheerful environment.
- Must obtain Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment.
Please Note: Effective Oct. 18, 2021, all Avamere employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they have approved medical or religious exception. If you are hired by Avamere after Oct. 18, 2021, you will need to be fully vaccinate (or obtain an approved exemption) prior to starting work and need to provide proof of vaccination (or approved exemption) within 10 days of starting work.
