Job Posting for Menswear Technical Designer at Avancer Homes LLC

Hawke & Co is looking for an energetic, collaborative, and detail-oriented Menswear Technical Designer. If you demonstrate a passion for apparel, and aspire to lead, we would love to hear from you. 

 

Job type: full time (Work from Home- 1 Day per week from our Valley Stream Design Studio)

 

Salary: 

 

$80,000-$90,000

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for tech design responsibilities for Men’s Outerwear
  • Create initial specs for prototypes: These specs are based off existing blocks or Design Team reference samples
  • Conduct Fittings, provide comments and pattern corrections to be applied toward Showroom Samples
  • Monitor status of Fit Sample Submissions as it relates to Bulk Fit Approval deadlines. Fit these samples with Design and provide comments, corrections, remake requests as needed and ultimately bulk approvals along with graded production specs
  • Fit Pre-Production Samples as needed
  • Partner with Production Team on production concerns, etc

You’ll Need to Have:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with Outerwear and Bottoms and Woven Shirts
  • Ability to review patterns and make corrections. Not necessary to create patterns
  • Knowledge of garment manufacturing in bulk setting
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
