POSITION SUMMARY
The AvantGarde, LLC Marketing and Strategic Communications Advisor works within the Office of Information Systems (OIS) to establish USCP’s assist OIS with marketing and communicating OIS capabilities to aid OIS in becoming a business partner to the Department, rather than simply a service provider. This position will be remote 3 days and in the office 2 days a week.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Establish a monthly rhythm of drafting and submitting, in coordination with OIS and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) leadership, newsletters to the USCP Public Information Office (PIO) for inclusion in “The Brief”. Content may include such areas as: Setting proper ways to engage with OIS, highlighting new Information Technology (IT) initiatives, Cybersecurity recommendations (on personal devices as well as USCP devices), providing status on enterprise IT projects, existing enterprise application tips and tricks, the importance of good data hygiene, and any Radio-related guidance.
· Increase communication channels both inside and outside the Department with the primary goal of creating a more engaged and informed audience.
· Serve as a primary conduit between OIS and PIO for anything technology related.
· Create a set of standards that all OIS strategic communications must meet, and will serve as the gatekeeper for all such strategic communications coming out of the OIS to ensure standards are consistently met
· Serve as a member of all OIS audit response teams, to ensure all correspondence regarding recommendations and/or findings adhere to OIS communications and engagement standards.
