Site Manager

In this role, you will report to the Manager, Onsite Services and will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel - and our customers - to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

What we're looking for:

Education: HS diploma or GED required.

Experience: Inventory management & people management experience required.

Collaboration Tool: Knowledge of ERP Systems; Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and basic understanding of Access required.

Qualifications:

• Good time management skills, ability to be flexible, and balance multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis.

• Good problem-solving capabilities and confidence to react promptly to deliver the best service.

• Must be flexible, forward- thinking, motivated, and have the confidence to act independently required.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to display a professional can-do demeanor required.

• Conform to all customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, and security clearances required.

• Long-term potential with Avantor required.

• SAP experience strongly desired but not required.

Avantor's Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.

In this role you will:

• Provide leadership to a team of associates in the form of coordinating daily activities, providing direction, and offering support and guidance in the functional areas related to outsourced service solutions such as: shipping, receiving, inventory management, chemical tracking, warehousing, glass wash, purchasing, desk top delivery, lab support services. Manage a team within a department, typically comprised of career/intermediate professionals and Supervisors.

• Lead all aspects of complex customer presentations, implementations, and cost reduction initiatives.

• Focus on revenue growth and operational efficiency.

• Responsible for one or more customers in multiple states, GxP, as well as asset management, scientific services, and collaboration with field sales team.

• Responsible for health and safety requirements, training/compliance and line management of the Avantor staff to ensure delivery of a high-quality service to our customer.

• Liaise with other suppliers, senior collaborators and the science community ensuring continuity of contracted services by measuring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

• Provide oversight to lower-level supervisor(s).

• Other duties as needed.
