What are the responsibilities and job description for the Employee Experience Specialist position at Aveanna Healthcare?

The Employee Experience Specialist will help to create and execute Employee Experience initiatives and build mechanisms to help us scale Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts in partnership with the DEI leader. In this role, you will partner closely with leadership to develop programs that will help us meet employee and DEI related goals. Successful candidates will have experience initiating, driving and delivering employee-related projects, possess analytical skills, are experienced communicators, enjoy a challenge and have a proven track record of earning trust with employees and building deep relationships in large organizations. The ideal candidate should not only be passionate about delivering meaningful employee experience and DEI solutions, but obsessed with embedding process improvements based on feedback.


Key Responsibilities 
 

  • Supporting a portfolio of employee experience and DEI initiatives; including the end-to-end program management.
  • Supporting the employee survey tool across all locations and analyzing the results to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support reporting on DEI related goals; including measuring and analyzing data to understand trends and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Foster an inclusive culture by contributing perspective, insights, and knowledge, and taking a systemic approach to enable the organization to capitalize on DEI efforts.
  • Partner with People Services to learn about cross-organization initiatives and activities coming from Employee Resource Groups and partner with the DEI leader to build a framework to facilitate these initiatives.
  • In conjunction with the DEI leader, build strong relationships with leadership to develop a deep understanding of the business and increase awareness and understanding of employee experience and DEI as critical business imperatives.
  • Deliver a comprehensive communication plan that consistently and routinely communicates the rationale and benefits of an engagement-focused culture.
  • Encourage employees to discover and share best practices to create a vivid picture of what a highly engaged teams look like.

Basic Qualifications
 

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
  • 3+ years of experience delivering cross functional projects with a focus on DEI/Employee Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in program or project management preferred
  • 3+ years of experience working cross functionally with teams and leaders required

Preferred Qualifications
 

  • Experience as a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) practitioner preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • Demonstrated experience building trust and influencing cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to articulate a clear point of view within concise communications.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a high-energy environment where tactical and strategic activities operate in parallel.
  • Proven ability to implement ideas from ideation to measurement/evaluation.
  • Ability to exercise high judgment, particularly in narrow timeframes.
  • A curious and agile individual with a “can-do” problem-solving approach to managing ambiguity in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • A passionate and naturally curious person who thrives on building something new
