What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Governance SME position at AVER, LLC?
Aver is looking to identify a Data Governance SME to be responsible for the overall leadership in setting up and managing a Data Governance Council. The SME will roll out an enterprise wide data governance framework, with a focus on improvement of data quality and the protection of sensitive data through modifications to organization behavior policies and standards, principles, governance metrics, processes, related tools and data architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Lead development of data governance activities
- Create and own strategy, roadmap and execution of governing data.
- Define and implement standards and metrics across all areas of data governance.
- Establish core documentation, including functional specifications, use cases, data requirements, data flows, and data architecture.
- Identify and select best-of-class tools and processes and setup standard operating procedures.
- Define and govern an enterprise data governance implementation roadmap including strategic priorities for developing information-based capabilities.
- Serve as a liaison between Directorates and Functional areas to ensure that data related business requirements for protecting sensitive data are clearly defined, communicated and considered as part of operational prioritization and planning.
- Participate in the development and implementation of data quality standards, data protection standards and adoption requirements across the organization.
Education Requirement:
- Bachelors Degree
Minimum Experience:
- At least 10 years of overall professional experience and 8 within a Federal consulting environment.
- Knowledge and ability to create models and standards to govern which data is collected, how it is stored, arranged, integrated, and used in data systems and models.
Security Requirement:
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
