Avera is currently seeking Nurse Practitioner (NP) looking to deliver the best possible nursing care in Avera’s patient-focused settings.

Job Summary
- Demonstrates and serves as an expert in the role of practitioner, consultant, educator and health professional.
- Improves clinical and cost outcomes for key patient populations through collaboration with physicians and staff and by participating in strategic initiatives.
- Assures competent and ethical care of patients and families.
- Shares with the supervising physician and clinic staff the responsibilities of providing and maintaining a quality of customer focused, nursing and medically appropriate approach to patient assessment, care plan development and implementation, follow up to outcomes and cost-effective delivery of services.
- Community involvement and collaboration is encouraged.
Education and/or Experience
- Graduate from an accredited nurse practitioner or physician assistant program.
- Experience (clinical or actual) in Cardiology preferred or will train.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Current SD license to match degree.
- Current SD Nursing license if applicable.
Work Schedule
- Monday – Friday; 80 hours every 2 weeks
- 8:00am - 5:00 pm
- 1 weekend per month
- 1 weekend call time per month
