What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing Assistant position at Avera?
JOB OBJECTIVE: Assist nursing personnel in providing patient care and/or as a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) HUC responsibilities include: communication coordinator, clerical and reception duties, requisition supplies, equipment, and services, process physician orders, observe telemetry monitor for dysrhythmias and/or changes.
Education, Certification, and/or License:
- Certified Nursing Assistant with Iowa required within six months of employment.
- Basic Life Support required within six months of employment.
- Completion of the Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse courses for Iowa Mandatory Reporters within 90 days of employment and every three years thereafter.
Location: Avera Holy Family · AHF Med Surg Unit
Schedule: Full Time, Day/Night Shift, Varied Shifts; 72hrs/2wks
