Avera is currently seeking Registered Nurses (RN) looking to deliver the best possible nursing care in Avera’s patient-focused settings.

Job Summary
- The Nurse Navigator will serve as a patient liaison to help patients and family members “navigate” the complex healthcare systems. The person in this position will work with a multidisciplinary team providing improved comprehensive spine services to patients. This position requires expertise to identify and implement improvement processes, and the ability to design, direct and implement teaching plans. Internal and external contacts include nursing staff and management, physicians, patients, families, community agencies, and professional peers.
- The ultimate goal of the program is to provide care that is coordinated and navigated along an agreed care path with all information available to patients as needed, and thus, minimizing the time intervals along the full continuum of care.
Education and/or Experience
- Graduate of Registered Nursing (RN) Education program.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of multi-state licensure required.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota may be required depending on patient/job assignment. If required, must obtain within 90 days of being placed in the position.
Work Schedule
- Hours:
- Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
- $25.75 - $38.25 per hour
