Job Description :
Dedicated drivers enjoy the many privileges that come with having consistent customers. Unlike some driver positions, this one gives you a better idea of the number of miles and hours each week holds, which means you'll have a better idea of what to expect in every paycheck.
And because you know your customers and their typical freight load, you'll never be surprised or slowed down by unusual shipments.
- Competitive pay :
- Average $1,550 per week / $80,600 yearly
- Starting pay of .62 cpm
- Reaching top pay of .65 cpm in 1.5 years
- With .01 cpm increase every 180 days
- Average 2,000 miles per week
- $27.50 stop pay
- Average 6 stops per week
- Detention, layover, and breakdown pay when applicable
- Company sponsored per diem program
- Weekly home time, with some mid-week home time
- Routes run Sunday - Saturday, most drivers are home during the week for at least 2 days depending on the dispatch
- Deliver pet supplies to customer's retail stores in Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Florida
- Early morning and late afternoon dispatch
- Some stores require drivers to unload with electric pallet jack
- Vendor backhauls are live load and 3
party backhauls are live load / unload
When running local / backhaul will make $25 / hour

- Must live within a 100-mile radius
- Must have 1 year of verifable tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years, including at least 6 months' OTR experience
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must have Class A CDL
- No convictions for reckless driving within the past 5 years
- No convictions for DUI within the past 5 years
- No suspensions or revocations within the last 5 years
- No serious violations within previous 12 months (15 mph or greater, following too close, improper passing, traffic offense committed in a CMV in connection with fatality)
- No more than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years
Essential functions :
- Load freight - lift requirement : 80 lbs
- Unload freight - lift requirement : 80 lbs
- Move freight - force requirement : 54 lbs
- Open / Close Trailer Doors - force requirement : 46 lbs
- Count freight
- Complete fuel tickets
- Obtain sales leads
- Hook / Unhook trailer - force requirement : 90 lbs (Class A Only)
- Perform pre-trip inspections
- Drive
- Regular predictable attendance
- Enter / Exit a Commercial Motor Vehicle
- Enter / Exit the rear of a trailer from ground level
