On-Site Manager Job Description:
- Oversee the day to day operations for our dedicated customer which would include but not limited to the following responsibilities:
- Monitor incoming and out going containers to ensure that there will be a sufficient number of drivers scheduled to cover the operation's needs
- Work closely with drivers to ensure that they are following FMCSA regulations and company policies
- Communicate daily with our customer to ensure on time delivery
- Strive to build a solid relationship with the Customer and the Rail Yard locations to stream line the pickup and delivery process
- Schedule vehicle preventive maintenance and repairs on a timely basis to ensure that company guidelines are met
- Ability to coach associates to succeed and to carry the Averitt Way forward into the future
- Must have previous port experience
- Must be available to work Satrudays
- Must be willing to obtain aTransportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
