Quality Control Manager - Aerospace Manufacturing at Aviation Ground Equipment Corp., Franklin, OH 45005

Position:

Aviation Ground Equipment Corp. is seeking a motivated, hands-on Quality Control Manager for our growing Aerospace & Defense facility located in Franklin, Ohio.

We are a Manufacturer of Military Ground Support Equipment. We provide support for General Aviation and Government agencies around the globe, Prime Contractors, MRO (maintenance and repair operations), Contract Manufacturers, Distributors, and Brokers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manages, develops, and documents all aspects of the ISO9001:2015 program
  • Establishes product quality processes and procedures
  • Process monitoring for performance, risk and opportunities
  • Evaluates and monitors processes for continuous improvement
  • Coordinates personnel for internal, customer and third party quality system audits
  • Delegates and directs assignments and responsibilities to personnel in support of Quality System objectives
  • Formulates and monitors requirements for certification & training of employees
  • Resolves supplier and internal quality non-conformances as part of the Correction Action Program
  • Oversees incoming material and product quality inspection
  • Supports the pre-production and development effort for new product launches & first article inspection
  • Monitors and controls document configuration control
  • Acts as facility safety officer including employee training and company/industry compliance

Desired Skills:

  • Working knowledge of ISO9001-2015
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and set priorities
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interpret and resolve complex problems through formal root cause analysis
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing principles and Statistical Process Control preferred
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with major course work in quality and/or manufacturing engineering with five years closely related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Able to quickly learn, master new technologies and thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to read, interpret and understand blueprints and schematics
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by the export laws of the United States. Candidates are required to provide proof of US citizenship
  • Clean and Verifiable Driver’s License
