Logistics Specialist Operations Support Representative

SUMMARY: Under general supervision, the Operations Support Representative (OSR) I is the liaison between Operations and Logistics.  The OSR will facilitate and assist Supply Chain teams with understanding, communication, and prioritization of support requirements for assigned Maintenance Line(s). This position works closely with Material Logistics, Operations, Customer Service Integrators (CSI), Outside Services, Components (CSD), and Procurement.Shift: Friday - Monday (4-10hr shifts) 5:30am - 4:00pmBonus: $500 sign-on bonusBenefits: Comprehensive Medical/Dental/Vision More! ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:·       Functions as a point of contact for the Supply Chain organization to assigned Maintenance Line.·       Learning all aspects of the Logistics organization and Maintenance Operations and their relationships.·       Facilitates component movement, parts procurement and transportation, Outside Service requirements, and transportation requests with the appropriate Supply Chain teams.·       Attends daily aircraft status meetings, providing and gathering information for dissemination with the Supply Chain team.·       Assists and communicates as required with the Supply Chain team in expediting priority/AOG parts through the receiving system to ensure part deliveries support aircraft schedules.·       Facilitates delivery of AOG and “work stoppage” parts from Inventory, Customer Furnished Equipment (CFE) and outside services as required.·       Relays shipping information to mechanics and customers and confirms arrival of assets.·       Completes necessary computer and paperwork transactions to correctly account for material movement as assigned.·       Inspects parts and materials for conformity – checks for shipping damage, serial number verification and general serviceability.·       Verifies all paperwork is accurate and provides traceability to the part or material.·       Processes material returns (RECAP) and customer off unit shipping requests.·       Runs parts reports for Maintenance Line operations.·       Assists maintenance operations with purchasing status.   KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writingAbility to read and comprehend written documents.Ability to reason, organize and solve practical problems with marginal supervision.Ability to calculate basic to intermediate mathematical functions.Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:·       High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.·       Valid state driver’s license required.PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY:While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up.  The employee will also be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
