Position Title: Marketing Analyst
Avid Marketing Group is seeking a dynamic Marketing Analyst with strong Excel experience to join the AMG Analytics team in Rocky Hill, CT. If crunching numbers comes naturally to you and your curious nature leads you to wanting to know more, you’re an ideal candidate for this position. You'll support the analytics team with analysis, insights, and recommendations to deliver best-in-class shopper marketing solutions.
Position Overview:
Efficiently generate analytical insights, marketing ideas and processes to measure and evaluate program effectiveness on behalf of our clients. The primary purpose will be to provide accurate, consistent, and timely reporting and analysis to AMG’s clients and account management teams.
Primary Responsibilities (subject to change based on business requirements):

Provide hands on support of AMG team and our clients with program estimates, tracking, reporting, and performance results of AMG managed programs

Support creation of post program recap decks for client shopper marketing programs

Contribute to developing strategic marketing plans & budgets for clients through data analysis and industry tracking

Collaborates with others throughout agency and seeks continuous improvement and standardization of products/services

Partner with AMG team with special projects as needed
Requirements

1-3 years of relevant experience in Data Analysis, Data Management, Business Intelligence, or a related college degree

Must be well versed in Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.). Experience with PowerPoint and Outlook preferred. PowerBI, Tableau, and Google Analytics a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven business environment and can work both individually and as part of a team with limited supervision

Ability to analyze & interpret large quantities of data from multiple sources and summarize key insights/learnings

Characteristics: highly organized, attention to detail, accuracy, consistency, curiosity

Knowledge around shopper marketing, in-store retail execution, CPG industry, digital marketing analytics is a plus
