Position Overview:

The UI/UX Product Manager at AMG will set a clear, strategic roadmap for driving success of our digital products. This person will drive the roadmap and feature prioritization across our digital product portfolio. Additionally, this person will lead in ensuring that products leverage easy-to-use digital solutions, optimizing the user experience for clients. This role requires strategic and analytical thinking, creative and intuitive problem-solving, and the ability to transform ideas into a concrete solutions and tangible experiences. This person will have heavy involvement in the development of the backlog, supporting development of user stories, tackling blockers, and ensuring that acceptance criteria is met. In addition, this person will be responsible for supporting gathering requirements, designing, and developing user experience workflows, and collaborating with stakeholders and development teams to ensure successful implementation of new or enhanced functionality for the products. Ultimately, this person will develop a deep understanding of our operational processes and our technology infrastructure in order to define and build towards a vision of growth for our products.

Role Responsibilities*

Leadership and Collaboration:
  • Act as the Product Lead of AMG’s digital tools, including but not limited to: ORA, SSE, Workfront, Utopia, AMG website, Sweepstakes / Contests and Loyalty Platforms, driving technical and visual enhancements
  • Participate in developing a vision, strategy and product roadmap with the team and evangelize across internal stakeholders
  • Partner closely with Digital Innovation Team, Account and Analytics to translate business and users’ goals into creative but practical solutions and designs that can deliver on key business and user metrics
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and team members to brainstorm new products, features and functionalities that enhance our mobile and web experiences
  • Collaboratively manage a feature backlog and drive roadmap planning
  • Work closely with your project and client teams to create compelling design solutions
  • Comfortable with giving and getting feedback

Evaluate and Create:
  • Evaluate existing sites in terms of their persuasiveness, emotional design, and conversion; assess properties for usefulness, usability, visual design, content, and branding
  • Establish an appreciation for back-end features / requirements to help inform UI/UX outputs. Continue to stay abreast of back-end changes / optimization opportunities
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and prototypes to effectively communicate feature and design ideas while describing key aspects of proposed experience, how it reconciles business/user needs
  • Conduct concept and usability testing. Gather feedback and develop actionable recommendations and design changes based on said feedback
  • Present designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and stakeholders while clearly communicating design rationale
  • Ability to define problems and solve them using an evidence-based rationale
  • Work closely with developers to ensure ideas can be brought to life

Forward Thinking and Providing Guidance:
  • Guide new product ideas from initial concept/problem to launch with well-defined success metrics
  • Identify opportunities to create business value with new features and improved user experiences
  • Stay abreast of the latest product and UI/UX trends, techniques and technology

Qualifications:
  • Comfort establishing and maintaining relationships with both co-workers and clients
  • Established technical and interpersonal problem-solving skills
  • A creative approach to connecting data and feedback to product development
  • Ability to form and maintain close partnerships and relationships with other product stakeholders, as well as excellent communication skills
  • Familiarity with designing for accessibility
  • Strong CSS skills
  • A basic understanding of front-end development and technology
  • Experience creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, visual designs, and mobile prototypes as well as clear documentation
  • Well-versed in user-centered design methods and techniques
  • Excellent analytical and process-oriented skills
  • Ability to start from sketched ideas and take it all the way through detailed design documentation
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator and XD or other prototyping tools.
  • Must be able to scope work, set project deadlines and deliver on time
  • Must demonstrate UI / UX design skills
  • Comfortable designing within iOS and Android native platform guidelines
  • Talent for managing multiple projects simultaneously, from concept to completion
