About the Job:
The Project Management Specialist is responsible for facilitating various international projects within a dynamic and everchanging environment from start-to-finish. The Project Management Specialist will be tasked with connecting with various facets of the business and client-base using multiple mediums of communication, organization, and process structure. You will connect with both domestic and international business units and utilize a TMS to manage your projects involving cargo movement, implementation, new changes, and client interaction. This position is blend of transportation/cargo-based projects and new implementations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and oversee logistic projects for domestic and/or ocean/air cargo movements from start-to-finish.
- Participate and facilitate the implementation of new client onboarding during each project stage.
- Interact with internal team members and managers to ensure successful customer service delivery model.
- Work with clients to determine best solutions for frequent problems within the project scope.
- Develop and maintain internal and external work structures related to overall project scope.
- Utilize various technical tools such as TMS, Excel, and project management tools to execute projects.
- Serve as a partner to internal employees and external clients to build upon current and/or future relationships.
- Seek proper feedback for each project cycle for continuous improvement opportunities.
- Facilitate project meetings with both domestic and international clients.
- Work closely with all departments to ensure efficient use of resources.
Education and/or Experience:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or College Degree in related field.
- Previous experience in a project-related position.
- Previous experience in a logistics or freight forwarding environment is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience working in an environment that requires problem-solving and customers service is strongly preferred.
