Overview
As a Compensation Analyst you will have an opportunity to work with senior level professionals from this high-profile team within our global organization. You will work with the UK HR team to implement their best practices within our North America Organization for about 2500 employees
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of HR, North America, this role will:
- Analyze compensation packages depending on the responsibilities of each position
- Research and review different compensation data to stay competitive with other companies
- Recommend and administer base salary, incentive compensation, and recognition programs for designated internal client groups
- Implement salary ranges and pay grades to align with the UK structure
- Develop compensation structures to maximize employee retention
- Evaluate new and existing positions using competitive market data
- Preform audits to ensure accuracy of employee and benefit database
- Communicate with management and HR regarding analysis reports and benefit policies
- Monitor and report on budget of salary and incentives
- Work with Finance to prepare data for compensation planning cycles
- Ensure Avison Young’s compensation complies with laws and regulations
- Identify process and policy improvements
- Create a visualization of data to present for review
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- HRIS, Salary Data Software or equivalent experience.
- Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using VLOOKUP and/or creating a pivot table).
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with both teammates and stakeholders
- Team player and adaptable to fast-paced and quickly changing environments and work priorities
- Highly motivated, energetic individual with the ability to be self-directed and work with minimal supervision
- Dedication to maintaining strict confidentiality with respect to highly sensitive information.
- Compensation certification is preferred
