Position Summary:
To be part of an energetic team, devoted to delivering a unique and enjoyable culinary experience for our residents and visitors.
What you will be doing:
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all residents, resident family members, and associates.
- Maintain a high degree of resident, family and guest satisfaction and retention through consistent delivery of high-quality services.
- Effectively and appropriately communicate with each co-worker and community leader.
- Maintain an atmosphere of stability.
- Prepare, wash, and store dishes.
- Cleans floors using dry mops, wet mops, brooms, and floor cleaning equipment, disinfecting the work area each day.
- Utilizes appropriate chemicals and chemical mixtures in all aspects of cleaning duties. Chemicals outside of the approved order guide are strictly prohibited.
- Complete dishwasher temperature log at required times.
- Assist with serving meals.
- Assist with setting tables.
- Assist with bussing tables.
- Deliver and retrieve kitchen supplies from resident apartments.
- Operate commercial equipment according to manufacturer specification, while adhering to Aviva Senior Living Standards.
- Complete and adhere to all other tasks and responsibilities set by the direct supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- One to two years of related work experience preferred
General Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Ability to safely handle food in accordance with facility policies and procedures, as well as all state and federal regulations.
- Ability to read and write in English
