Senior PI Underwriter

Aviva have a fantastic new opportunity to join at a senior level for a Senior PI Underwriter! Working in a vastly experienced team you will be responsible for generating, underwriting and analysing risks in line with PI strategy and guidelines. The successful applicant will represent PI at internal and external events, industry bodies and professional associations and will develop and maintain intermediary relationships, including creating business flow. Responsibilities and skills required Administer and monitor underwriting authority and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations and rating tools Contribute to new product rollout and appetite extensions Review technical, legal issues & developments and produce proposals to reduce risk and/or exploit opportunities and/or reduce blockages Liaise with key internal stakeholders in Technical Underwriting, Claims, Finance, Risk & Governance Deputise for Head of Professional Indemnity where required Create and maintain strong embedded broker and customer relationships across PI What you will get Salary of circa £125,000 depending on skills, experience and qualifications Generous defined contribution pension scheme Annual performance related bonus and pay review Holiday allowance of 29 days plus bank holidays and the option to buy/sell up to 5 additional days Up to 40% discount for some Aviva products through “My Aviva Extras” plus discounts for Friends and Family.
