AVL is searching for an Network Analyst to support the I.T. department in Plymouth, MI. This a great opportunity for someone who is looking to strengthen their industry experience in Networking, working with Firewalls, VPN's, CAT4 cabling and much more. The I.T. team is looking for a candidate that is seeking a full-time posiiton that puts an emphasis on strengthening their knowlege and is open to continuous learning and growth within the I.T. field. The Network Analyst’s role is to support the Network Manager and Engineers to ensure the stable operation of the in-house network infrastructure domestically and globally as required. This includes assisting with planning, installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing all network infrastructure, software, and communication links while ensuring minimal network downtime. This individual will also assist in diagnosing, resolving, and documenting hardware and software network problems in a timely and accurate fashion. The Network Analyst will also be responsible for the ordering and delivery of company provided cells phones and all documentation, in addition to other projects as communicated.
Qualified candidates for this opportunity will consider themself strongly proficient in communication, organization and attention to detail. In addition, AVL's world is consistently changing and evolving, and the IT Network Analyst will also be required to adapt and change direction as needed. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology OR 4 years of experience are required for this position. This position will be hybrid with the opportunity to work both remote and onsite.

Network Engineer and Network Manager with the development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans and maintain current knowledge of plan executable.
- Assist the Network Engineer and Network Manager in the troubleshooting and resolution of LAN/WAN performance, connectivity and related network problems
- Assist the Network Engineer and Network Manager with the Implementation of monitoring and management systems for the network
- Assist the Network Engineer and Network Manager in administration of the operation of all LAN/WAN-related network services per company policies and procedures.
- Assist the Network Engineer and Network Manager in the preparation and ensure accuracy of documentation, procedures manuals, and help sheets for network installations, including data, voice, and video systems.
- Assist the Network Engineer and Network Manager in the support, development and implementation of networking projects and new technology installations.
- Assist the Network Engineer and Network Manager with maintenance of all network hardware and equipment.
- Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
- Receive and respond to incoming calls, texts, and/or e-mails regarding network connectivity issues.
- Work to meet service level agreements with end users.
- Become proficient in mobile device ordering, troubleshooting, porting and documenting.
- Other duties assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems or related, OR 4 years of related experience
- Minimum 1 year of industry experience
- Good understanding of network and computer systems
- Good understanding of network firewalls to include Barracuda and Cisco ASA
- Strong communication skills
