Description
Avondale House is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit agency that provides, educational services to individuals with autism, a day habilitation program for adults, where clients receive training in daily living skills and pre-vocational activities, employment services for those with disabilities and four residential homes for individuals unable to live in their own home.
The Development Coordinator position will support the Chief Development Officer with the development and marketing efforts of the agency. This position has a heavy emphasis in volunteer coordination and donor recognition. . Avondale House has been serving individuals with autism since 1976.

Job Duties:
· Processes donations and prepares acknowledgements and thank you letters.
· Enters, updates, and maintains donor database.
· Prepares reports on donors and funding provided to agency.
· Assists with the design and creation of programs, flyers, and print materials as needed.
· Attends fairs and school district events to promote agency and volunteer program.
· Assists with the planning and implementation of special events including fundraising, agency parties, donor recognition events, Autism Acceptance Month, and other related events.
· Promotes the Avondale House Volunteer Program and recruits individual and corporate volunteers from the community.
· Screens, interviews, and provides orientation and training for volunteer program.
· Maintains database of volunteers, tracking activities and hours.
Requirements
· Bachelors degree required.
· Database management experience required, donor database management experience a plus.
· Experience coordinating volunteer programs required.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
· Strong computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
· Attention to detail is critical to the position.
Salary : $36,000 - $40,000
