CNC Programmer/Nester

About the Opportunity:

Job Title: CNC Programmer/Nester

Pay: $25/Hour

Location: Brooklyn Park, MN

Schedule: 1st Shift, Mon-Thurs 5AM-2:30PM and Fri 5AM-9AM with required O/T from time to time.

Daily functions:

1. Create and maintain a "Standard" nesting library for common parts.
2. CNC program development, debug, and validation using RADAN software and Salvagnini proprietary software.
3. Set up of manufacturing equipment for new designs, tooling configuration.
4. Assist with maintenance, trouble shooting and support of manufacturing equipment.
5. Interface with Production Scheduling to be aware of production needs.
6. Performs frequent quality checks.
7. Cross train on various machines, and platforms.

Desired qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or GED required.
2. Minimum of 4 years of CNC programming, set-up, machining and debugging of programs related to Punch Press, Shear, Folding, Plasma cutting equipment.
3. Minimum 2 yrs. programming using RADAN or Salvagnini proprietary code; however, the company will also consider someone that has experience with Mechanical Desktop, AutoCAD, PRO-E and SolidWorks.
4. Familiar with lean manufacturing techniques, process improvements, and post process work.
5. Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
6. Ability to effectively work in a team environment, including suppliers and other non-company personnel. This would include following the policies set in company manual.
