What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Architect position at AWP Safety?

This role will report to the VP of Network, Infrastructure & Security and will be responsible for the overall health and configuration of the AWP Safety network and will oversee all topology including network segmentation, IP management and access control. This architect will manage SD-WAN configuration as well as firewall and other edge devices to ensure that they meet security guidelines as defined. This role will help oversee our migration to the cloud and help define a strategy to modernize legacy infrastructure.
- Establishes and maintains network performance.
- Install/Configures network equipment
- Troubleshoots network problems.
- IP address auditing.
- Establishes networking environment by designing system configuration and directing system installation.
- Defines, documents, and enforces system standards.
- Maximizes performance by troubleshooting network problems and outages and scheduling upgrades.
- Participate in architectural discussions and technology choices
- Configures routers.
- Updates/upgrades network equipment across multiple locations.
- Collaborates with team members on network optimization.
- Secures network system by establishing and enforcing policies and defining and monitoring access.
- Strong communication skills and ability to troubleshoot remotely.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations.
- Accomplishes organizational mission by completing related results as needed.
- Knowledge of VeloCloud or Cradlepoint a plus
- Knowledge of Fortinet equipment a plus
- Knowledge of Azure networking concepts a plus
- Understanding of ZTNA/SASE architecture a plus

Salary : $86,700 - $110,000
