Summary:
Axel Ohman is seeking a detail-oriented bookkeeper to join our team. The bookkeeper will maintain financial records, process payments, and help support company growth in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Primary Responsibilities:
- Accurately record accounts payable and assist with accounts receivable for multiple company divisions.
- Process payroll, including related tax payments and quarterly and annual tax filings.
- Prepare and submit certified payroll reporting.
- Prepare and submit union reporting.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure timely vendor, subcontractor and employee payments.
- Assist with general ledger transactions and bank reconciliations.
- Complete lien waivers and other compliance documentation.
- Maintain organized records and files.
- Handle any other financial and administrative tasks as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience, preferably in the construction industry
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of construction financial processes preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Collaborative team player willing to pitch in where needed
- Adaptable to change and continuous improvement
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
