Assist the Security Officer in managing Special Access Programs (SAPs) and providing essential support to Mission Managers and technical staff to ensure the success of critical defense programs. The role involves coordinating additional security requirements, facilitating security clearance processes, and supporting the physical security infrastructure of the program. *This position is expected to open in late August of this year.
What you will do...
- Assist in the management of SAPs, ensuring compliance with all applicable security protocols and directives.
- Provide support to Mission Managers and technical staff to maintain the integrity and success of the program.
- Coordinate security measures such as polygraph examinations and special access indoctrinations/debriefings.
- Manage the process for issuing badges and controlling access to ensure proper authorization and secure entry to SAP facilities.
- Support the development and maintenance of physical security infrastructure, ensuring protection of assets and personnel.
- Oversee the implementation of Controlled Unclassified Areas (CUAs), Concept of Operations (CONOPS), Operations Security (OPSEC) plans, Program Protection Plans (PPPs), and the completion of DD Form 254 (DD254's).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to security protocols and physical security measures.
- Ensure all security practices comply with Department of Defense and other regulatory bodies.
Skills you will need...
- Extensive experience in security operations, particularly within a SAP environment.
- Familiarity with DoD security regulations, including experience with CUAs, CONOPS, OPSEC, PPPs, and DD254's.
- Proven ability to coordinate complex security requirements, including clearances, polygraphs, and special access indoctrinations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various levels of management and staff.
- U.S. citizenship required
- 10 years of experience
- Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field
- Active or eligible for a Top Secret security clearance
