Axient LLC is seeking a highly experienced Program Manager located in Pasadena, CA, to help lead our efforts to grow our presence at JPL.
Responsibilities:
The scope includes all activities necessary to define concepts, requirements, plan, manage, develop, and sustain, projects on the Multi-divisional Engineering, Design, Analysis Lab-wide Support (MEDALS) contract at JPL. Work will include reviewing and developing quotes for work orders, subcontractor management and cost/schedule reporting as directed by the contract. Additional duties may include supporting other business development opportunities in Southern California.

Additional duties include, but are not limited to:
- Managing the awarded tasks through completion, managing costs, personnel and schedule as well as subcontractors.
- Weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reporting to JPL
- Manage team of subcontractors including adding/removing team mates based on needs and performance.
- Report weekly to company management as well as business development at JPL, NASA and other opportunities in Southern California.
- Managing other JPL contracts as well as some other efforts at NASA.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Computer, Electrical, and Environmental Engineering Aeronautical, Aerospace, Astronautical and Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, Physics and all other engineering majors) or equivalent experience.
- 10 years of related Program Management experience NASA or JPL contracts
- Demonstrated experience with managing engineering development programs, including systems engineering, software development, hardware in the loop controls, virtual reality (VR), modeling and simulation (M&S).
- Experience effectively communicating at senior levels within a customer organization.
- Experience meeting with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items, and effectively execute in accordance with approved plans.
- Experience negotiating and implementing subcontract efforts
- Demonstrated experience supporting customer projects and experience working with competing priorities.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating and coordinating across project teams and components facilitating information sharing, reuse and productivity improvements.
- Knowledge of JPL or NASA best practices and policy directives/work instructions a plus
- Must meet applicable COVID safety requirements and protocols.
