Job Description
Our team is seeking a Program Manager (PM) with experience planning, organizing, and directing Space Operations and DoD Acquisitions. The successful candidate will be the Space Systems Command (SSC) liaison to the U.S. Space Forces – Central in support of Combatant Commands (CCMDs) and SSC acquisition/development warfighter needs. The candidate, in coordination with the Warfighter Integration Office (WIO) Lead, will provide and manage internal/external communications and functional/technical program requirement capture to meet current and emerging warfighter needs. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for leading and overseeing the effective application of processes in the execution and delivery of SSC projects and programs within the contract.
Location
This is a full-time position located in Tampa, Florida (i.e., MacDill AFB) within Government facilities at the Space Service Component. Preference is for candidate already be within local area to avoid relocation/dislocation costs. However, relocation/dislocation costs may be available if candidate meets or exceeds requirements.
Duties
- Responsible for the overall performance of all task orders assigned
- Works within U.S. Space Forces – Central spaces and closely works with the USCENTCOM and the warfighter in establishing technology and operations objectives for SSC systems
- Develop documentation to support WIO objectives within U.S. Space Forces – Central and CCMDs
- Ensure program requirements and statements of work for SSC systems capture and are planned to the level of detail required for execution as well as subcontract formation and management
- Synchronize Unity of Effort between Space Systems Command and U.S. Space Forces – Central
- Infuse space capabilities into ongoing wargames delivering direct feedback to emerging developmental programs to meet warfighter needs
- Provide subject matter expertise on space integrated, multi-domain system of system capabilities
- Facilitate transition of innovative capabilities to create strategic operational effects in support of the Combatant Commands’ mission and priorities
- Advocate for Combatant Command requirements to enable the acceleration of technology and concepts that enable rapidly fielded solutions
- Provide recommendations on the overall Acquisition Strategy, to include tailoring of milestone requirements and documentation based on warfighter needs
- Inform technical and operational details for system deliverables, management artifacts and enforce standards for presentation of capability to U.S. Space Forces – Central and ultimately the CCMD
- Provide guidance and oversight of SSC systems supporting Operations
- Inform where applicable, the development of systems by understanding and advocating for fulfillment warfighter technical requirements
- Support staffing and acquisitions via knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to a broad range of tasks to meet program requirements and to deliver for successful system execution.
- Assist WIO program manager with drafting, reviewing, updating, coordinating of various acquisition-related products/documents and support materials necessary for the life cycle management of the contract vehicle
- Promote innovation, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Resolve problems with minimal disruption to the activities being performed under the contract
- Ability to brief program requirements and schedules to a variety of customers
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- BS / BA and 10 years of direct program and acquisition management experience
- Knowledge of DoD contracting procedures and contracting vehicles
- Detailed Understanding DoD CCMD staffing and Operations Planning
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge and familiarity with full spectrum of Space Operations
- Clearance: TS/SCI; SAP clearable

Clearance (Mandatory)
- Active DoD security clearance at the TS level is required. Candidate must also be SAP clearable. Must be able to maintain the required clearance. Applicants for positions which require DoD security clearance must meet eligibility requirements to include US citizenship.
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s degree
- PMP or DAWIA Level II in Program Management, or Engineering and Technical Management or Contracting areas
- Desired leadership experience in U.S. Service-related defense acquisition program management related to space or cyber system acquisition, employment, and lifecycle management.
- Desired experience working Joint Targeting, Requirements and Special Technical Operations
