Typical Day: Our analysts work at the Missile Defense Agency, in modern, well-appointed government facilities at Schriever Space Force Base, near Colorado Springs, CO. Colorado Springs and the greater Colorado Front Range is the hub of DoD space operations, most of DoD's on-orbit space testing, and much of its space research and development. They collaborate with other missile defense and Warfighter experts in the program - military, government civilians, and contractors from Axient and other contractors; and help the Government manage the development and delivery of systems of systems for Wargame & Exercises. There may be opportunities to travel to work with the warfighters on console and support live events.
Amenities: This career opportunity is in the Missile Defense Integration and Operations Center (MDIOC), on Schriever Space Force Base, hosted by the newly formed United States Space Force - the base is named after the father of the US Air Force ICBM and Space Program, General Bernard Schriever. The MDIOC facility is a large multi-story complex with great amenities. The MDIOC includes a full-service cafeteria, 24-7 food and sundry shop, coffee shop, and a free fitness center.
Job Description: This position requires a highly motivated junior analyst to be part of our Colorado team of dedicated professionals. The candidate is responsible for providing support for testing through all phases of event life cycle. They provide programmatic, technical, and analytical support to the MDA’s Wargames and Exercises Directorate (DTW). Significant domestic and international travel is required.
Essential Functions:
- Assist senior analysts with U.S. and threat force laydowns to be represented in modeling and simulation (M&S) scenarios
- Assist in coordination, consolidation, and preparation of weekly deliverables
- Assist with coordination, integration, and execution across all event phases
- Assist in development of event documentation (test plans, execution plans, deployment plans and rosters)
- Candidate will have an opportunity to work on console as required
- Candidate will travel extensively (approximately 35%)
Qualifications
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree Required -- 5 years of relevant experience acceptable in lieu of Bachelor's Degree
- Secret Clearance
- Able to communicate professionally, verbally and in writing
- Familiarity with Missile Defense Systems/Programs is desired
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite of software and applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Previous Military Experience is a plus but not a requirement
- Able to travel domestically and internationally
Salary : $60,000 - $72,000
