Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Serves as the primary contact for all matters relating to loan operations in conjunction with the ABL Portfolio Management.
  • Performs proactive monitoring, governance, and risk identification and escalation responsibilities related to ABL, and makes sound risk decisions commensurate with policy, procedures, and regulations.
  • Processes, examines, monitors, and reconciles client collateral and loan information including but not limited to, client sales, credit memos, cash receipts, accounts receivables, inventory, ineligibles, borrowing bases certificates, excess availability, and reserves.
  • Creates and inputs new loans in the system and reconciles the new loan set-up to ensure it adheres to the credit approval memo and loan agreements.
  • Processes, posts, reconciles, and decisions loan advance requests in accordance with credit policy and authority.
  • Reconciles collateral, loan balance, and availability on a daily basis.
  • Computes and reconciles collateral ineligibles and reserves in adherence to the loan agreement.
  • Sets up, monitors, and follows-up on collateral, financial, and other reporting requirements in the loan system.
  • Trains new clients on reporting procedures.
  • May train other new and existing analysts in processes and procedures.
  • Executes applicable risk programs, including effectively following and adhering to policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, escalating and remediating issues effectively and timely, and making sound risk decisions.
  • Ensures the client’s reporting is performed in accordance with the terms of the loan agreement.
  • Works with clients to resolve reporting inadequacies and problems and escalates to senior management as necessary.
  • Proposes process and quality improvements, as needed.
  • Ensures data integrity and accuracy of the loan system at all times.
  • Regularly exercised discretion and judgment in the performance of essential job functions.
  • Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work.
  • Follows Bank policy, procedures, and guidelines.

Working Conditions

  • This position is performed in a regular office work environment. Must be able to work independently from remote locations and within the office environment, as well as travel to client sites. This is a full-time position. The incumbent will be expected to be able to work Monday through Friday and work will mainly be performed at the assigned location. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Flexibility with work location and hours may be granted if circumstances permit.

Qualifications Summary

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in business-related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in a collateral monitoring capacity in asset-based lending required.
  • Experience with Solifi ABL preferred.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal and written communication skills necessary to assist internal and external customers
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills, anticipating and responding to requests for service or assistance
  • Ability to demonstrate effective organizational and project management and skills, maintaining high attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, with flexibility to meet changing time demands and priorities in a fast-paced environment, while delivering complete and accurate work
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, developing alternate solutions as needed
  • Ability to maintain poise, presence, and professionalism, treating others with respect
  • Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Skill in using Solifi/ABLM.net (Stucky) and data mining software
