Apply now for our MICHIGAN LOCATION! Where does the Hi-Lo Driver fit in? As the Hi-Lo Driver you will ensure that all material and components are available to the production staff as required.
The Hi-Lo Driver is to perform manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies.
You will oversee and ensure the timely production of customer product.
Assist production staff and Set-Up personnel as required.
What you can expect as our next Hi-Lo Driver : Review production schedule and each molding machine to ensure sufficient material is present and identify appropriate resins for upcoming orders Prepare and supply resin for molding machines Learn to effectively use the material vacuum loading system (M7) Ensure all materials have appropriate identification on containers, hoppers, dryers etc.
Complete all required paperwork to ensure efficient tracking and documentation requirements are achieved Clean out dryers and load with resin, identify appropriate dryer temperatures and set dryer accordingly Assemble and disassemble material hoppers for colour or material changeover Maintain a high level of cleanliness of area - resin on the press, on the floor, remove purges from presses and dispose safely Ensure the Senior Process tech and / or Shift Supervisor is informed of any equipment related issues.
Mix, blend, dry and color raw material in accordance with the bill of material Assist Junior Setup with mold changes when time permits Must follow instructions / direction from supervisors / Management Complete all necessary documentation as required including material lot numbers Maintain good housekeeping Ensure compliance / enforcement of Axiom Plastics plant standards Performs all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by all health and safety rules and regulations Must ensure compliance to the TS-16949 systems and procedures.
Perform additional tasks as assigned Do you have what it takes to be our next Hi-Lo Driver? Completion of Grade 12 education or equivalent At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse / manufacturing environment Valid forklift license Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and good manufacturing practices Good verbal and written communication skills, able to read and write in English Must be punctual, reliable and have good work ethic.
Must have basic computer and calculator proficiency Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team oriented environment Strong attention to detail and pride in quality of work, good visual skills for assessing part quality Ability to utilize information from the process sheets Mechanically inclined and good aptitude, highly focused and driven to learn Perks?
