Description of Responsibilities:
- The Patient Experience Specialist is responsible for providing coverage for administrative operations, including exceptional front line customer service, to Axis Health System (AHS) patients, staff and all others contacting AHS. The Patient Experience Specialist is often the first point of contact through various mediums including in person, on the phone, and through electronic communications. The Patient Experience Specialist provides administrative support to AHS staff, programs, and patients to support consistency in policies and procedures across the organization.
Supervisory responsibilities: No
Physical demands:
- Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stand or kneel and occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop. Must have ability to sit for longer periods at a computer. Employee must be able to travel between AHS locations. Possible potential exposure to communicable disease. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. AHS may make reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred Education and Experience:
- Minimum Experience: Previous work experience in a medical or dental clinic.

- Working knowledge of Windows based computer applications including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and ability to access the internet.
- Competencies in obtaining and recording patient vital signs and machine readings according to facility policies for patient rooming.
- Ability to take on additional duties when necessary and/or as requested.

Additional eligibility requirements:
- Annual Flu immunization
- Annual TB screening
- CPI training within 90 days of hire
- BLS certification required within 90 days of hire
