What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fabricator position at Axis Pipe and Tube?
· Responsible for the installation of parts, pieces, and elements of the designated project.
· Responsible for the treatment and repair of metal surfaces to ensure safe usage.
· Use welding to secure fastening for pieces including in the final product.
· Fabricate frameworks or shells for machinery
· Maintain the shop and equipment used in the assembly process.
· Study and interpret assembly instructions.
· Fabricate and assemble structural metal products.
· Assemble tools and materials.
· Hammer, grind, and chip workpieces.
· Alter dimensions to fit specifications.
· Resolve assembly and production issues.
· Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform repairs as needed.
· Operate fabricating machines such as rolls, shears, and flame cutters.
· Check stock to ensure inventory is replenished.
· Responsible for completing any assignments given by Supervisor, even those assignments not specifically listed in this job description.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
