Content Creator

Job purpose:

At Axis, we translate pop culture to help parents and caring adults understand and disciple their teenagers. The ideal candidate for this position would not only be able to help create culturally relevant content, but also have a deep understanding of how Christianity and theology intersect with pop culture. The right candidate must have the ability to manage multiple projects working across departments and be part of a dynamic creative team.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Research teen/pop culture weekly to ensure creation of accurate and relevant content

• Write both long-form and short-form content in collaboration with the Managing Editor, responding to edits as needed

• Pitch new product ideas while also responding to assignments and directives

• Assist with editing marketing emails or other content as needed

• Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, as well as a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Axis

• Ability to speak on podcasts and in video content is a plus Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, or relevant field preferred

• Minimum 1 year experience in editing, copywriting

• Excellent communication, delegation and research skills

• Experience with Microsoft Office, Trello, Monday.com, and HubSpot

• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a plus

Working conditions:

This position is salaried, while hours are typically 9:00am-5pm Monday-Friday. Hours may vary in relation to research-related meetings and appointments. Travel is minimal. Physical requirements This job in some cases may require lifting between 30-50 lbs and s/he should be able bodied and ready for any task that may need to be done.

Dress:

While the dress code at Axis is fairly casual, all employees should always bear in mind that they are representing Axis to the staff, guests and donors and therefore dress accordingly.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
