Main Purpose This position provides strong support to the Renewal Operations/Underwriting teams, including but not limited to, high quality advanced administrative support. The position requires demonstrated drive to achieving business goals. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Accurate and timely input of data in various systems throughout the renewal underwriting lifecycle (submission through binding), with a key focus on providing superior customer service and high data quality Organize and maintain complete underwriting support filing system (paper and electronic), to ensure documentation is sutiable for both internal and external audits Preparation of data related to underwriting (i.e. preparation of underwriting worksheet, applying rating to meet target pricing, tracking of deadlines, etc) risk assessment, exposure data and account monitoring Assist in the reporting analysis of renewal retention Utilizing various software tools to capture and summarize underwriting information Ad hoc project work and other duties as requested REQUIRED EDUCATION/TRAINING & EXPERIENCE Technical Skills A minimum of 5 years of underwriting support experience including experience in commercial property; demonstrated knowledge of insurance coverages and principles; extensive experience working with brokers High school diploma required; college degree preferred Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel; strong aptitude for learning new computer programs Professional Skills Demonstrated rigor and work ethic; ability to work independently with little direction Ability to manage priorities under intense pressure and time constraints; flexibility to work overtime during peak periods Superior communication skills with the ability to work in a dynamic environment Strong team player
