Groundskeeper

Duties & Responsibilities

• Executing and overseeing maintenance repairs
• Maintaining gardens and lawns, including planting, watering, fertilizing, weeding, soil conditioning, mulching and bush-hogging
  
• Pressure washing
• Operating and maintaining landscaping equipment
• Ordering supplies and equipment
• Maintaining site landscaping
• Maintaining lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers, turf, and irrigation.
• Fertilizing lawns, trees, flowers, shrubs, and spreading mulch
• Trimming trees, hedges, and shrubs, and preventing and eliminating weeds
• Operating and maintaining hand tools efficiently
• Operating and maintaining trucks and power tools.
• Keeping grounds free from trash, litter, and debris, and emptying trash receptacles.

Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to lift heavy objects
• Must have operating experience on tractors, skid steers, and other pieces of heavy equipment
• Familiarity with tools essential to general maintenance projects
• Knowledge of gardening techniques
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods of time
• Independent and hardworking
• A valid driver’s license
