BI Analyst - Senior

Job Summary and Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to work with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to gather and document reporting requirements while utilizing Tableau and SQL. This position will be on-site and located at our HQ in San Diego, CA or Las Vegas, NV.

Responsibilities

• Work with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to gather and document reporting requirements
• Translate business requirements into specifications that will be used to implement the required reports and dashboards created from one or more data sources
• Apply advanced modeling, data mining, machine learning and/or statistical techniques to data and dashboards to generate actionable insights enabling informed decision-making for optimized business and operational performance
• Develop standardized enterprise dashboards to meet the needs of stakeholders ranging executive management, team members and multiple business units across the Bank
• Create mock-ups of reporting products, scorecards, dashboards, etc. to provide visualization to the end user
• Develop deep understanding of the Bank's databases, identify appropriate data sources, relationships and logic needed to produce consistently reliable reports

Requirements

• Bachelors' degree
• 5 years' in a BI-related role
• 3 year's in SQL and Tableau data visualization
• 2 year's in Data Analytics
• Tableau expertise
• Working knowledge of SQL
• Experience creating diagnostic and prescriptive BI insights a huge plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to simplify complex concepts
• Superior problem-solving skills, multi-tasking skills, self-motivation and the capacity to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to learn, acquire and utilize new technologies, disciplines and frameworks as needed
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Exceptional customer focus, excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Work well independently under minimal supervision and strong track record of setting and meeting delivery commitments
