Job Responsibilities
- Assess current state Tableau implementation and identify a technical roadmap to the future state, including both data model (AWS) supporting the dashboards and the dashboards themselves
- Create the technical architecture for the solutions, including features and functionalities for the developer or programmer to execute.
- Help project and product owners to prioritize suggested changes and remediation of the current implementation
- Consult with end-users, managers, and stakeholders to determine the scope and need for different data visualization approaches
- Oversee the development of solutions and tools by the team, ensuring that the solutions are both scalable and supportable
Skills and Qualifications:
- Must have experience designing reports for stakeholders in Life Sciences Pharmaceutical Commercial and Sales Operations group, including insights around Sales (Demand vs Forecast, Normalized Units), Channel Performance, Inventory (Days on Hand, Channel vs Warehouse), Calls (Reach, Frequency, Adherence)
- Knowledge of various data source such as Xponent, APLD, DDD, HCOS (from IMS or Symphony), Specialty Data, Calls, Sample, Claims, etc
- 7 Years of experience in Tableau development and Good understanding of Tableau Architecture (Server components including different services)
- Build and publish customized interactive Tableau reports and dashboards along with data refresh scheduling using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.
- Ability to make right graph choices, use of data blending feature, Connect to several DB technologies, In-depth knowledge of Tableau access control & embedding visualization on web pages, Tableau Web Connector extra
- Create Tableau Scorecards, Dashboards using stack bars, bar graphs, scattered plots, geographical maps, line/pie graphs, and charts
- Able to explore options and suggest new solution and visualization techniques to the customer.
- Strong data analysis experience, including data profiling, building customized views, writing SQL queries, understand DW data model
- Must stay up to date on new and coming visualization technologies
- Understanding of Tableau performance drivers and implementation of best practices
- Demonstrated experience as a BI Team lead on large projects with formal management and tracking
- Strong understanding of the importance of data tier and data model in driving effective, unified solutions
- Experience in Onshore/Offshore team mix strongly preferred
- Able to provide work samples and to discuss the technical and data presentation approaches and tradeoffs
