JOB DESCRIPTION
The Intake Position is the initial first point of contact for our Dispensaries. So, you set the tone! It is imperative that all patients and customers are greeted, both in-person and over-the-phone, with a positive and warm welcome. Must have strong customer service skills, a great outgoing attitude, along with a stellar work ethic. The Intake team member is also responsible for the cleanliness of the front desk and lobby area.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide the highest level of customer service while interacting with patients and customers on-site and over the phone by having an optimistic attitude and welcoming personality
- Process-in patients and customers by validating identification and enter information securely entered in our POS system
- Operate front desk responsibilities such as answering phones, emails, checking-in patients, and updating patient files
- Provide all new patients/customers with a brief explanation of services
- Become well-educated with all cannabis products offered and/ or be willing to learn
- Must be educated on all marijuana and products offered
- Manage all visitor access of vendors, contractors, etc., partnered with the Store Manager or Assistant Manager
- Act as liaison to all departments on security needs
- Motivated to learn and execute new tasks during downtime
- All other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS/PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- Must stay current and adhere to all policy and regulations of the Cannabis Compliance Board (CCB)
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must be able to obtain a State issued Cannabis agent card
- Must not have been convicted of any felony offense
- Ability to work within a closely supervised environment
- A minimum of 1 years of experience is preferred. Ideal candidates will have previous experience working in a cannabis retail setting or customer service-related industry
- Works in a timely manner and strives to increase productivity
- Knowledge and familiarity with Cannabis
- Solid math skills, language, and reasoning skills.
- Basic weights and measurement skills, ability to operate a digital scale
- Experience in marijuana growing, cultivating, and trimming preferred
- May be required to work nights and weekends
- Demonstrated oral and written communication capabilities
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Able to use a computer for extended periods of time
- Ability to stand on feet or sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to have extended cannabis exposure, with no adverse physical reaction
- Ability to use repetitive use of hands, wrists, and forearms
- Ability to see, hear, speak, and write English clearly to communicate effectively with customers, employees and visitors
- Fine visual acuity with the ability to adjust focus to inspect closely, ability to see color
- Normal vision or corrected by use of glasses and/or contacts for normal reading and viewing abilities to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned, or to make general observations of facilities or structures
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to meet job and operate equipment requirements
- Requires normal range of hearing with the ability to perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in sound
- Ability to twist, turn, bend, stand and walk as required to perform the duties associated with functioning as a dispensary manager
- Pushing/pulling/carrying, with the ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Able to move about a typical office or retail environment
- Able to perform general administrative activities
- Regular and on-time attendance (Hours may exceed 40 hours per week)

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is primary performed in a dispensary setting. The working area may be odorous at times and loud due to fans and filtration systems, fluctuating between cold and warm temperatures. Involves frequent contact with staff, vendors and customers. Work may include dealing with law enforcement and occasional State inspectors.
