Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Ironworker(s) to join our team. As an Ironworker, you will be responsible for installing structural steel components for various construction projects. This is a physically demanding role that requires expertise in welding, blueprint reading, and the use of power and hand tools.
Duties:
- Install structural steel components, including beams, columns, girders and joist
- Perform stick and wire welding to join steel components according to codes and standards
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine project specifications and requirements
- Measure and mark steel members using measuring tools
- Operate forklifts to transport materials and equipment on job sites
- Safely use power tools, such as grinders and drills, to prepare steel surfaces for welding
- Utilize hand tools, such as wrenches and hammers, to assemble steel components
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient project completion
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Ironworker or similar role in the construction industry
- Proficiency in stick welding techniques and the ability to pass a welding test
- Strong knowledge of codes and standards related to structural steel fabrication and installation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
- Familiarity with using measuring tools for precise measurements
- Experience operating forklifts safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of tools commonly used in steel fabrication, such as grinders and welders
- Proficiency in using hand tools for assembly tasks
