What are the responsibilities and job description for the Audio Visual Analyst position at AZpen, LLC?
As an Audio, Video Specialist you will handle all aspects of AV engineering and quality control post build and during installation. You will provide technical/management on major tasks or technology assignments as well as establish goals and plans that meet project objectives. Has domain and expert technical knowledge, directs and controls activities for the client, having overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met. Interactions involve client negotiations and interfacing with senior management. Decision making, and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation.
Job Duties:
· Perform a full quality control check for all fabrication and installation efforts including but not limited to AV best practices and company standards
· Perform all software / firmware configuration uploads and checks to ensure the system performs to both the manufacturer's specifications
· Complete / approve any red line updates on system drawings for any changes required during the fabrication, installation, and quality control steps
· Provide clear and concise documentation on any configurations implemented or needed for successful implementation (i.e. network configurations, video settings, DSP settings, etc.)
· Perform full system calibrations for audio and video on installed systems
· Perform full control system test out with programming support for installed control systems
· Complete system test and accept / certifications / commissioning for installed solutions both remotely and onsite at client's premises
· Provide analysis related to the design, development, and integration of hardware, software, man-machine interfaces and all system level requirements to provide an integrated IT solution
· Develop integrated system test requirement, strategies, devices and systems
· Direct and participate in overall system level testing.
· Support all types of technical escalations and work with other team members on resolutions as needed
· Troubleshoot conference room issues with audio visual components and associated technologies
· Ability to walk others through basic troubleshooting and repairs.
· Completion of assigned service requests and incidents as per defined SLAs.
· Provide end user training and support for deployments
· Travel to client sites as required
· Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
· Comprehensive knowledge of
- Video conf. systems, Projectors, Screens, TVs, switchers, amplifiers, Scalers, audio processing, digital video systems
- Extron switchers, touch panels, Clearone DSP, Crestron equipment, Crestron Fusion, Toolbox, etc.
· Solid knowledge of audio-visual connectivity and signal flow; experience reading wiring diagrams and interpreting system design drawings
· Ability to update firmware and do basic maintenance on AV equipment
· Outstanding follow-through and problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, and multi-tasking
· Ability to interact professionally and effectively with a diverse work force across the organization
· Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
· Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
· Must be able to work flexible hours, occasional evenings, or weekends
· Basic knowledge of MSFT Teams & Skype voice and conferencing, networking protocols and terminology; TCP/IP, VoIP, SIP, QoS, Ethernet, Fiber, ADSL, Broadband, E.164/H.323/H.320 & SIP, Cable, Analog/Fax, and cabling specifications are highly desirable
· Must be able to perform moderate lifting, climbing, and crawling required to troubleshoot and install audio visual hardware
· Expert knowledge of Industry standards in AV systems design and integration
· Must have excellent communication skills and possess excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to perform advanced troubleshooting on any device
· Be a team leader and possess excellent leadership qualities
· Must be well versed in interacting with networks (wired or wireless) and must be able to support networked solutions for video conferencing, VOIP audio conferencing, and control system networking
Desired Qualifications:
· CTS and / or CTS-I/D certification
· DMC_E Certification
· Any formal training from Biamp, Clear One, Polycom, Tandberg
· SynAudCon Training
