Server

We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused Server to join our team at our vibrant Mexican restaurant. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Your main responsibilities will include taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:

Greeting and Seating Guests: Welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, escort them to their tables, and provide menus. Assist in ensuring an efficient seating process during busy periods.

Taking Orders: Engage with guests to answer questions about the menu, provide recommendations, and take accurate food and beverage orders. Pay attention to special dietary requirements or allergies and ensure that orders are placed correctly.

Serving Food and Beverages: Serve food and drinks promptly and accurately, ensuring proper presentation and garnishing. Offer additional items, such as condiments or side dishes, and attend to any requests or needs throughout the meal.

Knowledge of Menu: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and flavor profiles. Be able to describe dishes and make recommendations to enhance the dining experience.

Upselling and Promoting: Suggest appetizers, desserts, or specialty drinks to enhance the guest's dining experience. Provide information about current promotions or specials to encourage additional sales.

Order Accuracy and Timeliness: Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure that all orders are prepared correctly and delivered to the guests in a timely manner. Double-check orders for accuracy before serving them to customers.

Payment Processing: Present guests with accurate bills and process payments using cash, credit cards, or other accepted methods. Handle cash responsibly and reconcile payments at the end of each shift.

Cleanliness and Setup: Assist in maintaining a clean and organized dining area, including setting tables, folding napkins, and replenishing condiments and supplies as needed. Help with general cleaning tasks to ensure a clean and inviting atmosphere.

Customer Satisfaction: Continuously monitor guest satisfaction and address any concerns or issues promptly and professionally. Provide a friendly and attentive service that exceeds customer expectations.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a server in a restaurant environment is preferred, especially with knowledge of Mexican cuisine and dishes.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse range of customers.
• Strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accurate order-taking and timely service.
• Basic math skills for processing payments and making change.
• Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and fellow servers.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as per the restaurant's schedule.
