What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Manager position at Azura Credit Union?
The IT Manager will perform advanced troubleshooting, supervise IT Department staff, administrate server and network infrastructure, and manage assigned department level projects. Work will involve supervising IT staff, providing training and guidance to IT staff, making current processes more efficient and organized, maintaining equipment lifecycle, managing physical and virtual server infrastructure, managing Office 365/Azura AD and other cloud software, and delegating tasks where appropriate. Advanced work will include assisting System Administrators with server upgrades and management, remediating patch management findings, and assisting with other infrastructure maintenance and management.
Duties:
· Supervise and train IT support staff, completing orientation of new employees and employee life cycle.
· Administers time and attendance, approving time cards for assigned staff.
· Oversees and directs PC lifecycle activities, including but not limited to planning, ordering, setup, installation, removal, and disposal of all PC related assets.
· Administer, upgrade and maintain physical server, power and network equipment.
· Establish helpdesk best practice and supervise response times to ensure communication is top priority.
· Assist with implementation of new software and systems as related to support and maintenance
· Main point of contact and escalation point for advanced troubleshooting of systems and applications. Oversee management of data backup software and reporting on recovering testing.
· Maintain IT and security vendor relationships, recommending purchases when appropriate. Participate in remediation of IT issues if discovered.
Qualifications:
· One to three years of related experience with management of IT helpdesk associates and system administration.
· Associates degree in computer science/administration or comparable training/experience/certifications accepted.
· Administer VMWare environments, deploy Windows and Linux servers, manage Office365 and Azura AD
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· High attention to detail.
· Significant level of trust, diplomacy, courtesy and tact.
· Professional appearance and demeanor.
