Azure Summit Technology provides a wide range of multi-channel software defined radio products, innovative signal processing solutions and end-to-end mission payloads and systems for the full range of advanced RF applications including EW, radar, communications and multi-mode RF operations. What will you do?
Azure Summit Technology is currently seeking an experience System Administrator. The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic, growing, cross-functional, and geographically distributed team. This position is located at our headquarters facility in Fairfax, Virginia. Your future team has worked together to produce the following job description:
The selected candidate will report to the corporate Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) and will be responsible for day-to-day IT support for the corporate network, collaborating with the Managed Services Provider (MSP) and assisting in maintaining the information security posture for the company at our Fairfax, VA, headquarters location. This position will be a key and valued member of our security team.
The System Administrator will build and maintain Windows and Linux servers and workstations, implement and configure Virtual Machines (VM), manage user accounts, assist in designing and implementing new technologies, upgrades, and improvements, and oversee management of network switches, firewalls, and security devices and services.
System Administration duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Maintaining VMs and assisting users in configuring VMs to support engineering efforts
- Interacting with the contracted Managed Services Provider (MSP), a.k.a. IT service provider, to track and manage helpdesk tickets and IT projects
- Performing patching and implementing security updates
- Aiding in defining and communicating the security posture and culture of the organization
Basic Requirements
- US citizenship, due to the nature of the work and contract requirement
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance, due to contract requirements
- Bachelor's of Science degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as System Administrator supporting Windows and Linux environments
- Minimum 1 years’ experience configuring and maintaining ESXi and Hyper-V servers
- Minimum 1 year experience managing and maintaining Cisco switches and SonicWall firewalls
Preferred Qualifications
- Active SECRET clearance
- Experience implementing multi-factor authentication (MFA) in corporate environments
- Experiencing implementing and managing data storage solutions
- Experience with PowerShell scripting
- CISSP, CISM, Security , or equivalent certification
